Meet the Founder

Tanureet Kaur Randhawa, founder of Everything Awaken

Hello, I'm Tanureet Kaur Randhawa.

Like many of you, I'm a daydreamer.

Someone who loves imagining possibilities, preserving memories, and finding meaning in ordinary days.

Long before journaling became a trend or productivity tool, it was already a part of my life.

And it all began with my grandfather.

Where It All Started

One of my earliest childhood memories is watching my grandfather, S. Lakhmir Singh Randhawa, quietly writing in his diary every evening.

I was fascinated.

The diary was written almost entirely in Urdu, a language I couldn't read. Yet there was one thing I always understood.

At the end of almost every page...

My grandmother's name was written in English.

She had passed away long before I was born.

Curious, I finally asked him,

"What do you write every day?"

He smiled and replied,

"I tell her about my day."

That answer stayed with me forever.

In that moment, I realized a journal isn't just paper filled with words.

It can be a conversation with someone you love.

A place where memories continue to live.

A space where emotions never truly disappear.

My First Journal

Inspired by him, I began writing my own journal while I was still in school.

My very first meaningful journal was during my 9th-grade trip to Jaipur.

Every evening I would write about the places I visited, the people I met, and the feelings I experienced.

At that time there was no social media documenting every moment.

No Instagram stories.

No reels.

No endless notifications.

Just experiences...

and the words I chose to preserve them.

Looking back today, those pages are worth more to me than hundreds of photographs.

A Constant Companion

As I grew older, journaling remained a constant companion.

Through exciting moments...

Through failures...

Through uncertainty...

Through happiness...

It helped me understand myself better than anyone else could.

For me, journaling was never about productivity.

It was about clarity.

It was about remembering who I was becoming.

Searching for Home

When smartphones became a part of everyday life, I naturally looked for digital journaling apps.

I tried many of them.

Some were beautiful.

Some were powerful.

Some had endless features.

Yet none of them truly felt like home.

Most focused on writing.

Others focused on productivity.

Many forgot the emotion behind journaling.

And almost all required trusting someone else with your most personal thoughts.

That never felt right to me.

Building My Journal

Coming from an engineering background, I eventually stopped searching.

Instead, I decided to build the journal I had always wished existed.

Not just another journaling app.

But a place where writing feels personal.

Where privacy comes first.

Where journaling, planning your day, and managing your life belong together instead of being scattered across different apps.

Every screen, every feature, and every decision inside Awaken Journal is built around one simple belief:

"Your journal belongs to you—and no one else."

More Than an App

Awaken Journal is not just software.

It is years of memories.

Years of writing.

Years of learning.

Years of understanding what people truly need instead of simply following trends.

It combines journaling, thoughtful planning, and personal reflection into one calm space designed to help you understand yourself better.

Because I believe the greatest conversations you'll ever have...

are the ones you have with yourself.

A Personal Invitation

If journaling is simply another task on your checklist...

you may find many apps that suit you.

But if journaling is your emotional ritual...

your safe place...

your conversation with yourself...

then I built Awaken Journal for you.

Thank you for being here.

I hope this becomes a small part of your story, just as journaling has always been a part of mine.

With gratitude,

Tanureet Kaur Randhawa
